8-Day Athens and the Sporades Islands of Skiathos and Skopelos

Day 1:ATHENS – CRADLE OF CIVILIZATION

Arriving in Athens, we’ll smoothly transfer you to your hotel in our comfortable vehicles. Our English-speaking assistant will be with you, ensuring your comfort and care throughout the journey.

In the afternoon, at the hotel, our representative will provide you with all the essential trip details. Get ready for an engaging presentation about the city, where you’ll gain insights into its vibrant daily life. Feel free to ask questions and clear any doubts, setting the stage for a pleasant and hassle-free experience throughout your trip.

With the rest of the day at your leisure, embrace Athens at your own pace. Immerse yourself in the captivating sights, sounds, and flavors of this remarkable city.

Day 2:ATHENS SIGHTSEEING: ACROPOLIS, TEMPLE OF ZEUS, TRILOGY, AND NIGHT TOUR

Start your day with a delicious breakfast. Then, we will embark on our panoramic tour of the Athenian Neoclassical Center.

We will visit iconic landmarks. Some are the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Gate of Hadrian, and the Panathenaic Stadium. Our knowledgeable English-speaking guide will provide fascinating insights into their history and significance.

We will also experience the breathtaking Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. The tour includes entrance fees.

Afterward, you can return to your hotel or explore the charming streets of Plaka at your own pace.

In the evening, we’ll go on a walking tour through Anafiotika, Thissio, Monastiraki, and Plaka. We’ll witness the capital’s true beauty during the night.

Day 3:FROM ATHENS TO SKIATHOS: THE ADVENTURE BEGINS!

At the agreed time, one of our private vehicles will be waiting for you with your assistant to transfer you to the airport of Athens, where you will board your flight, lasting about 45 minutes, to the stunning island of Skiathos.

Upon your arrival in Skiathos one of our representatives will be waiting for you to welcome you, transfer you to your hotel and explain a little more about the island.

Day 4:FROM SKIATHOS TO SKOPELOS, THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES!

After a delicious breakfast, our representative will transfer you to the port of Skiathos, where you will board the ferry to the island of Skopelos. This island is famous for being the movie set for the musical Mamma Mia! and the scenes will immediately come to life as you set foot on the island. Upon your arrival, we will meet you and transfer you to your hotel, while also introducing you to this famous island. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and explore its capital (Chora), built amphitheatrically between two hills.

Day 5:SKOPELOS – THE EMERALD ISLAND

After your breakfast, you will have a whole day to visit the most stunning places in Skopelos, strolling through the traditional alleys and enjoying a lovely meal in one of its bustling taverns.

If you wish, you can start by visiting the locations, where the movie Mamma Mia! was filmed and, most likely, also inspired you to visit the island. Agios Ioannis at Kastri is the small church, where the wedding scene was shot and, while the climb may seem steep, the views are worth the effort.

The most famous beach in Skopelos is Kastani, also shown in the film and, although it can get very busy and crowded, it is so vast that you are bound to enjoy it.  Also, on the southwest coast of the island, you will find the wonderful, sun-drenched beaches of Panormos and Milia, where you can swim and sunbathe.

However, as they are located at some distance from Chora, we suggest hiring a car or a motorbike, while for more secluded coves, remote bays, and serene beaches, we suggest hiring a small boat.

Optionally, as there is much more to see on this beautiful island, you have the option of extending your stay in Skopelos by adding extra nights during step 1 of 3 of your reservation.

Day 6:FROM SKOPELOS TO THE ISLAND OF SKIATHOS

In the morning we will enjoy a lovely breakfast and then, we will be transferred to the port to take the ferry to Skiathos.

This is the most famous island of the Sporades, the only one with an airport, which not only serves domestic but also some international flights, too, especially during the summer season. Thanks to its beaches and the fun atmosphere, it is also known as the “Capri of the Aegean”.

Upon arrival at the port of Skiathos, we will be transferred to our hotel, where you can first take a rest and then set out on a splendid tour of the town at your own pace.

Day 7:FROM SKIATHOS TO ATHENS, THE RETURN

After breakfast and at the time indicated, our staff will transfer you to Skiathos Airport, where you will board your flight to Athens.

Upon your arrival, we suggest that you take a stroll in the city center and finally make yourself comfortable in one of the taverns, where you can enjoy some traditional Greek dishes and discover the energy and vibe of the city’s nightlife. This is the perfect time to shop for souvenirs, have a magnificent coffee, and observe the Lycabettto mountain illuminated in the distance, while we review the little moments of this great trip in our mind.

Day 8: GOODBYE ATHENS – FAREWELL GREECE!

At the appointed time, a member of our staff will drive you to Athens International Airport, where you will check in your luggage and benefit from any tax return on your last minute “tax-free” shopping for family and friends.
